Notebooks/Ideal experience

My dream notebook UI at the moment – looks like Smalltalk in a browser
- Something like smalltalk in terms of managing code
- Online, launch in a browser --
  - potentially clone locally
  - or run on a powerful remote server with good hardware
    - the VM needs to be persisted correctly
  - or run on a local server / locally available hosting
- Much more flexible UI
  - code editing pane, where I can pull up functions I care about
  - don't care about any file system
  - source control is automated
